I am Andrea and The Papasan Chair Company was born along with my first baby boy back in 2007. I wanted to replace my very much loved but tired Papasan Chair, but I struggled to find exactly what I was after. The choice was not readily available and loving a challenge, my Papasan Chair search ended up with me placing an order for fifty Papasan Chair Frames and Cushions which initially were stored in my bedroom from floor to ceiling. Looking back I had no idea what fun was about to unfold and how Papasan Chairs were going to literally ‘rock my world’!!!

With a wide range of high quality fabrics and styles to choose from we can even create a little magic and update your tired Papasan or Mamasan Chair with a brand new plump cushion and bespoke made to whatever size you need…

We are a small family business based in Surrey and now with four lovely children I am a lot busier….. but my team and I always pride ourselves on doing all we can for customers and aspire to create all our chairs to the highest standard.

We import our frames from Indonesia where rattan farmers select the best pieces, and we have a team of craftsmen that hand form it to the correct shape, construct the frames and send authentic rattan frames back to us using traditional methods. We have been working with the same family business in Indonesia since our business started. Our cushions are hand made and machine finished by a small local team of seamstresses who cut sew and finish each cushion individually with love and care.

We are always open to challenges and can source a choice of fabrics to your specification or colour or we are happy to produce from fabrics supplied to us. We have a whole bundle of experience and knowledge and we welcome your enquiries, please speak to us or give us a ring.
